Sumve Institute of Health Allied Sciences and Technology Formally (Sumve School of Nursing)  was established in 1938, Owned by Catholic Archdeoces of Mwanza. The School is full Registered and Accredited by National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) and Nurses and Midwives Council (TNMC).  The School  offers Ordinary Diploma in Nursing pre service and ordinary Diploma in Nursing upgrading programme one year full time programme and E-learning programme.

The school has proposed to establish other courses; Ordinary Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Ordinary Diploma in Clinical Laboratory.

The nursing school offers full accomodation to students persuing nursing programmes.
